Daily Fortifying Shampoo is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in Formula Change I have been a loyal Baxter product customer for some time and loved the "daily fortifying shampoo." Unfortunately, I did not pay careful attention when placing my most recent order. They changed the formula and it no longer contains various ingredients such as "tea tree oil" (among others). The new formula, in my opinion, is just okay and nothing special (let alone worth the price). The prior formula kept my dry scalp (and mild flaking) in check and it felt better while shampooing (more of a tingle). This new formula does neither of these. Yes, the price is now lower for more product, but I really do not care for more of a product that is "nothing special." Sorry, but you've lost a loyal customer

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too expensive I used to love baxter. It was the only line I used. After L’Oréal acquired it, all the prices got jacked up. I understand you have to make a profit but the 8oz shampoo is more expensive than the 10 oz used to be. It’s always been a luxury product but it used to rely on its products rather than partnerships and product placement. They changed the ingredients to make it less expensive to produce.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No itchiness -- Just clean hair. I have an incredibly sensitive scalp. Surprisingly, most sulfate-free "natural" shampoos -- even from luxury brands--irritate it, causing unbearable itchiness. Furthermore, they tend to not clean well. This shampoo not only cleans well, but does so without irritating my scalp. Additionally, the scent is energizing and pleasant. I bought the small size and immediately came back and bought the larger size. That should tell you how much I love it. Buy this shampoo and the corresponding conditioner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no i miss the daily protein shampoo. This kind leaves my hair dry and have way too much fluff just look like bad. As a guy who has long hair I gotta have things a certain way! BRING BACK DAILY PROTEIN

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome I had spent the night at my sons house and this is the only shampoo and conditioner he had. I used this and fell in love, later in the day I could tell a difference in my hair, I know it is for men but it worked great for me. I am wanting to get some for my boys at home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So disappointed! I have been using Baxter’s Daily Protein Shampoo for almost a decade, usually buying multiple bottles at a time since I buy it online. As I was tuning out of my last bottle I was surprised to see it had been replaced by the slightly more expensive Daily Fortifying Shampoo, but wasn’t overly concerned since I’ve always liked Baxter products. But, what a disappointment! No invigorating scalp tingle, no enveloping cloud of wintergreen aroma, and no more wide awake refreshed feeling. It felt instead just like using a generic supermarket shampoo rather than a bracing salon preparation. Among other things, I notice Tee Tree Oil and a number of other leaf oils are now missing from the ingredient list, and wonder if this production cost cutting measure has something to do with the blandness compared to its predecessor. One other thing I noticed by hesitated to mention is that it seems the pump mechanism on the new 16oz bottle delivers more shampoo than the old 10oz bottle, making you use it a bit faster. I’ll measure and confirm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Shampoo I have genuinely noticed a difference in my hair health since using this product. It lasts a long time if you only use one pump at a time (which was plenty for me, and I have thick hair). I’m glad they added a smaller size option, as well.
